Therapeutic Personal Training
Therapeutic StrengthTraining Programs
Every exercise program is individually designed using a broad range of therapeutic techniques tailored to your goals, abilities, lifestyle, and stage of recovery. Treatment may incorporate free weights, resistance bands, foam rollers, balance equipment, or body weight exercises, with an emphasis on practical, effective movement that can be easily integrated into your home or workplace.
My goal is to make exercise accessible, not dependent on expensive equipment or a gym membership. By helping you build confidence in your ability to move well wherever you are, therapeutic exercise becomes a sustainable part of everyday life instead of something reserved for the clinic.
Pranamix Yoga & Pilates
For more than 25 years, I have incorporated the principles of yoga and Pilates into physical therapy to improve mobility, postural alignment, breathing mechanics, body awareness, balance, and core stability.
I earned my 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification in 2000 and have continued advanced study in Iyengar, Ashtanga, Viniyoga, Pranavinyasa, and Ananda Yoga.
My Pilates training includes certifications through the Pilates Institute of America, Balanced Body, and Ellie Herman Pilates.
Rather than teaching traditional yoga or Pilates classes, I integrate these movement principles into rehabilitation when they support your treatment goals and complement your plan of care.
Mindfulness & Breath Training
Breathing influences far more than oxygen exchange. It affects posture, movement, nervous system regulation, pain perception, focus, and resilience.
Drawing from my doctoral research in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), more than 25 years of yoga and meditation practice, and current neuroscience, I incorporate evidence informed breathing and mindfulness strategies to improve body awareness, regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and support recovery.
These techniques are introduced when clinically appropriate to help you move with greater ease, confidence, and awareness both during therapy and in everyday life.
